Messaging Terms & Conditions

Alo · Last updated: September 23, 2026

These terms govern the SMS and WhatsApp appointment messaging program operated by Marcos Lacayo in Austin, Texas (the “Service”), an appointment scheduling service for a medical clinic.

1. Program description

When you provide your mobile number while scheduling an appointment, you agree to receive text messages about your own appointment. All messages are transactional:

This program does not send marketing or promotional messages, and it does not send messages on behalf of any third party.

2. How you opt in

You opt in verbally during a phone call, or in writing during a WhatsApp conversation, at the moment you ask to schedule an appointment. There is no web form and no pre-checked box; you must actively agree.

Before your number is stored, you are told:

“I can send your appointment confirmation by text message to this number. Message and data rates may apply. Message frequency varies. Reply STOP to cancel, HELP for help. Our privacy policy and terms are on our website. Is that okay?”

Your number is stored only after you say yes. We never purchase, rent, import, or otherwise acquire phone numbers from third parties, and we never add a number that was not given to us directly by its owner for this purpose.

3. Consent is optional

Consent to receive text messages is not a condition of booking an appointment, using the service, or receiving care. You can schedule an appointment and be seen without ever agreeing to receive messages. Messaging consent is collected separately and is never bundled with any other agreement or required terms. On the web form the consent box is unchecked by default and optional; the form can be submitted without it.

4. Message frequency

Message frequency varies and depends on your own appointment activity. A typical appointment generates one confirmation and one reminder, plus additional messages only if you reschedule or cancel.

5. Cost

Message and data rates may apply. We do not charge you for these messages, but your mobile carrier may, depending on your plan. Contact your carrier for details.

6. How to stop messages

Reply STOP to any message at any time to unsubscribe. You will receive one final message confirming you have been unsubscribed, and no further messages after that. You may also reply UNSUBSCRIBE, CANCEL, END, or QUIT.

Opting out does not affect your ability to schedule an appointment by phone or to receive care. To resume messages, reply START or provide your number again the next time you schedule.

7. How to get help

Reply HELP to any message for assistance, or contact us at marcoslacayobosche@gmail.com.

8. Carriers

Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages. Delivery depends on your mobile carrier and is not guaranteed.

9. What we never send by text

This program never sends medical information, test results, diagnoses, or clinical advice by text message. Messages contain scheduling details only: date, time, location, and the service booked.

10. Privacy

No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Text messaging originator opt-in data and consent will not be shared with any third parties. See our Privacy Policy for full details.

11. Changes to these terms

If these terms change, the updated version will be posted at this address with a new revision date.
